EDIT (Feb 5) On Friday February 1, starting at 4:50 pm GMT +0 all players who were logged in the game experienced an interruption to their gameplay. The issue lasted for approximately 30 minutes, after which the players were able to log back in. 

We run Empire & Puzzles on Amazon Web Services. On Friday, one of their server machines had a physical malfunction. Unfortunately one of our key services was running on that machine. We run multiple services of the same type to avoid a situation where a failure of a single service can bring the whole game down. Unfortunately, in this case the failover protocol did not work as intended. We will be implementing various improvements to make sure the game can recover from a similar incident in the future.

EDIT (Feb 1, 5:20 pm GMT+0) We believe we have now solved this issue and all players should be able to connect to the game. If you are still experiencing problems, please submit a new support request!
