Welcome to the February 2024 Balance Update!

This month, we have a superbowl buff-et for you. Strutting onto the field in the latest high performance sportswear is the Champions Family, some of whom are looking fitter than ever. Facing them, the unfathomable oceanic horrors of the Nightmares of Atlantis are buffed and match-fit!

On the sidelines, our favorite Toon mascots' boosted energy and enthusiasm is on full display. Our half-time show will be headlined by a swift and stealthy superstar -- the sensational Hero who broke out of the Ninja Tower and into our game last Black Friday, with a reputation for never missing, it's the legendary Tametomo!

Out in the packed stands, we want to give a special shout-out to our fabulous February fans who've been supporting the game for years. Champions Family changes

Champion Family Bonus changed

* OLD: +30%/+50%/+70% additional Special Skill damage for 1/2/3 members

* NEW: +35%/+50%/+65% attack for 1/2/3 members

Champion Passive Skill changed

  • Mana Generation Ailment Protection skill changed to Mana Buff on Status Ailment Received for all members of the family
  • OLD: All status ailments and negative stacks that affect mana generation are replaced by a +30% mana generation status effect for 3 turns.
  • NEW: The character with this skill receives +24% mana generation for 3 turns when they receive any status ailment or a negative stack.

Norman

  • Direct damage increased: 285% -> 320%

Satori

  • Passive Skill: Health Boost on Buff Dispel
  • Health boost increased: 200 -> 450 HP
  • Base direct damage increased: 285% -> 315%
  • Direct damage against cleansers and dispellers increased: 570% → 630%

Nightmares of Atlantis Hero changes

Medea

  • Stats adjusted:
    • Attack: 1019 -> 999
    • Defense: 976 -> 1009
    • Health: 1715 -> 1728
  • The enemy to which the Shifting Mindless attack is cast is no longer determined randomly. Instead, it is now given to the targeted enemy.
  • OLD: A random hit target automatically casts Shifting Mindless Attack on a random ally when mana is full at the start of a turn.
  • NEW: The target automatically casts Shifting Mindless Attack on a random ally when mana is full at the start of a turn.
  • Direct damage increased:
    • 1st cast: 350% -> 365%
    • 2nd cast onwards: 400% -> 430%
  • When encountered as a boss in the Untold Tale 'The Mysteries of the Deep':
    • Above Shifting Mindless Attack change applied
    • Direct damage increased:
    • 1st cast: 310% -> 325%
    • 2nd cast onwards: 360% -> 390%

Atlanteia

  • Stats increased:
    • Attack: 1032 -> 1058
    • Defense: 1007 -> 1034
    • Health: 1450 -> 1530
  • 1st cast:
    • Corrosive Frost damage increased: 123 -> 158 Frost damage per turn (total: 492 -> 632)
    • Corrosive Frost attack reduction increased: -7% -> -8% per turn (max: -28% -> -32%)
  • 2nd cast:
    • Corrosive Frost damage increased: 185 -> 222 Frost damage per turn (total: 740 -> 888)
    • Corrosive Frost attack reduction increased: -10% -> -13% per turn (max: -40% -> -52%)
  • When encountered as a boss in the Untold Tale 'The Mysteries of the Deep':
    • Corrosive Frost damage increased
    • Corrosive Frost attack reduction increased identically to playable hero

Domiventus

  • Stats increased:
    • Attack: 968 -> 984
    • Defense: 974 -> 990
    • Health: 1753 -> 1804
  • 1st cast:
    • Direct damage increased: 350% -> 380%
    • Corrosive Burn damage increased: 130 -> 152 Burn damage per turn (max: 520 -> 608 Burn damage)
  • 2nd cast:
    • Direct damage increased: 390% -> 455%
    • Corrosive Burn damage increased: 159 -> 182 Burn damage per turn (max: 636 -> 728 Burn damage)

Legendary Toon Costume Bonus changes

  • OLD: 35% Attack / 35% Defense / 60% Health / 5% Mana
  • NEW: 40% Attack / 40% Defense / 65% Health / 5% Mana

Hero changes

Tametomo

  • Stats increased
    • Attack: 922 -> 1046
    • Defense: 762 -> 885
    • Health: 1536 -> 1909
  • Added effect: The Special Skill now never misses its targets.
  • x1 mana charge:
    • Direct damage to target with more than 50% remaining HP decreased: 500% -> 450%
  • x2 mana charge:
    • Base direct damage increased: 300% -> 350%
    • Direct damage to target with more than 50% remaining HP decreased: 600% -> 550%
  • x3 mana charge:
    • Base direct damage increased: 350% -> 400%

  • Direct damage increased: 143% -> 195%
  • When encountered as a boss in the Tavern of Legends quest:

  • Direct heal increased: 42% -> 45%

Jean-François

  • Burn damage increased: 453 -> 519 damage over 3 turns

Uraeus

  • Direct damage increased: 485% > 535%
  • Sand damage increased: 315 -> 408 damage over 3 turns

Iris

  • Direct damage increased: 325% -> 375%

Viselus

  • Direct damage increased: 260% -> 310%
  • Poison damage increased: 484 -> 572 damage over 4 turns

Other Heroes

Fortuna

  • Direct damage increased: 120% -> 150%
  • Corrupted Mask Fiend
    • Attack increased: 45% -> 55%

Numbskull

  • Direct damage increased: 100% -> 150%
  • Bone Skull Minion:
    • Inherited attack increased: 15% -> 20%
    • Damage on destruction increased: 55 -> 85

Bug fix

Fizzcoil

  • Mana generation reduction no longer stacks with other status effects that modify mana generation
