This month's balance update is all about buffs — we're doling out some significant improvements to a number of beloved old-timers. Some relatively recent Heroes that feature interesting mechanics are also receiving a touch-up, as we would like to see them strategically spice up battles a bit more often.

Without further ado, let's get into the details:

 

Costume Bonus Buffs

Legends 2017, 2018, 2019 Families

  • OLD: +5% attack / +5% defense / +10% health / +5% mana generation

  • NEW: +21% attack / +21% defense / +38% health / +5% mana generation

Hansel

  • OLD: +3% attack / +3% defense / +6% health / +1% mana generation

  • NEW: +5% attack / +5% defense / +10% health / +5% mana generation

    • Now matches other Epic Challenge Festival Heroes' Costume Bonus values (previously, only Hansel had a lower Costume Bonus)

Alexandrine

  • Direct heal increased

    • Base heal: 18% → 23%

    • Max heal: 42% → 47%

Bai Yeong

  • Direct damage increased: 320% → 370%

Brimstone

  • Stats increased

    • Attack: 929 → 939

    • Defense: 894 → 904

    • Health: 1734 → 1765

Ferrus

  • Stats increased

    • Attack: 891 → 916

    • Defense: 883 → 909

    • Health: 1728 → 1800

  • Direct damage increased: 360% → 390%

  • Bleed damage over 3 turns increased: 480 → 576

Frog Prince

  • Direct damage increased: 180% → 230%

  • Amount of mana received per Poison damage applied increased

  • Mana generation debuff increased: -24% → -34%

Grace

  • Direct damage increased: 285% → 335%

Green Knight

  • Direct damage increased: 235% → 265%

  • Health upon resurrection increased: 40% → 45%

  • Damage dealt upon resurrection increased: 665 → 765

Ignazio

  • Stats increased

    • Attack: 840 → 887

    • Defense: 877 → 924

    • Health: 1709 → 1851

Nine-Headed Beast

  • Stats increased 

    • Attack: 863 → 896

    • Defense: 916 → 951

    • Health: 1575 → 1674

Costume Norns

  • Mana speed changed: Slow → Average

  • Direct damage decreased: 450% → 300%
    • Please note: Due to a technical error, the change to Costume Norns’s direct damage value was included in the Version 60 update, and thus accidentally went live on its own before the September 2023 balance update. As such, Costume Norns’s direct damage will not actually change when this balance update goes live (because it already has the correct % value). We apologize for any confusion caused by this.

  • Stats adjusted

    • Attack: 893 → 962

    • Defense: 879 → 832

    • Health: 1607 → 1575

Rian

  • Direct damage increased

    • Initial damage: 180% → 210%

    • Damage per dispelled status effect: 20% → 25%

    • Maximum damage limit: 340% → 410%

Roz

  • Stats increased

    • Attack: 873 → 920

    • Defense: 842 → 889

    • Health: 1676 → 1818

  • Direct damage increased: 500% → 530%

Sorrow

  • Stats increased

    • Attack: 894 → 941

    • Defense: 867 → 914

    • Health: 1553 → 1699

  • Icebound Sickle Minion HP inheritance increased: 15% → 18%

Thalassa

  • Stats increased

    • Attack: 877 → 896

    • Defense: 982 → 997

    • Health: 1612 → 1674

Tremor

  • Stats increased

    • Attack: 881 → 896

    • Defense: 939 → 953

    • Health: 1697 → 1738

  • Health recovery increased

    • After 3 turns: 400 → 500

    • If effect is removed before its duration ends: 700 → 800

  • Damage increased

    • After 3 turns: 400 → 500

    • If effect is removed before its duration ends: 700 → 800

Victor

  • Direct damage increased: 211% → 250%

  • Damage over time increased

    • Initial damage over 5 turns: 225 → 355

    • Increased damage per stacked effect: 300 → 315

    • Maximum damage limit: 825 → 985

  • Healing stolen increased: 61% → 75%

  • Heal steal & defense buff duration increased: 3 turns → 5 turns

Costume Victor

  • Direct damage increased: 125% → 155%

  • Healing stolen increased: 51% → 61%

  • Heal steal & defense debuff duration increased: 3 turns → 5 turns

 

Note: All "flat" (not %-based) damage values listed above are based on the Hero's stats when fully Ascended and max leveled, but not Limit Broken or Emblemed.
