When a new update of the game is released, we roll it out to players gradually to ensure that everything is working correctly. We do our best to release the update to all our players as quickly as possible.
This means that the two versions (old and new) are running simultaneously for a couple of days. We do this to give the App Store and Google Play Store time to update the version in their store.
There is no gameplay advantage to the players that get to update the game first. Rest assured, you will eventually be able to update your game once it has been fully rolled out to all players around the globe.
